The Czech Republic, in response to the military operation in Ukraine, stops issuing visas to Russian citizens, exceptions are made for Russians who are entitled to receive them for humanitarian reasons, Prime Minister of the Republic Petr Fiala told reporters following a meeting of the State Security Council, Report informs referring to TASS.
“We will stop collecting applications for visas from Russian citizens in all our diplomatic missions. Exceptions are made for cases [issuing visas] for humanitarian [reasons],” Fiala said.
In addition, the Czech Republic is closing the Russian Consulate General in the cities of Brno and Karlovy Vary, as well as its representative offices in St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg.
The prime minister added that the Czech Republic was recalling its ambassadors to Russia and Belarus for consultations in Prague.
