Czech Republic, following Poland, eyes increasing protection of its airspace

Amid the missile incident in Poland, the Czech authorities are considering measures to improve national security, including strengthening the protection of airspace, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said in an interview with the British TV channel Sky News, Report informs.

“We need to investigate this [incident] and be prepared to take a number of security measures. We need to protect our airspace,” he said.

A missile fell on November 15 in the village of Przewodow (Lublin Voivodeship) in eastern Poland near Ukraine, killing two people.

President Andrzej Duda claims that so far there is no evidence that indicates who fired this projectile. At the same time, the Polish Foreign Ministry claimed that the rocket was Russian-made.
