According to Rakušan, about 4.3 million Ukrainian refugees arrived in the EU, but some of them have already returned home.
“If someone left for Ukraine but had received temporary protection in one of the EU countries, they have the right to return to the EU if the conditions do not allow them to stay in Ukraine for the winter,” the minister added.
The minister noted that if the Ukrainians return, the total number of refugees in the EU could rise to five million. Meanwhile, the Czech Republic can accept no more than half a million people.
