Czech intelligence chief warns of looming global conflict

In a recent interview with the CTK news agency, Michal Koudelka, the head of the Czech Security Information Service (BIS), issued a stark warning about the growing threat of a global conflict, according to Report.

"The world is boiling and dangerously teetering on the edge of a global conflict," Koudelka cautioned. He assured that amid this precarious situation, the BIS would do everything in its power to protect the Czech Republic and its citizens.

Koudelka pointed the finger at Russia, China, and Iran as the primary culprits responsible for the deteriorating security landscape in Europe. He specifically highlighted the issue of "hostile propaganda".

However, the threats extend beyond geopolitical tensions. The intelligence chief also drew attention to other pressing concerns, including illegal migration, terrorism, the rise of right-wing extremism, illicit arms trade, cybercrime, and the malicious use of artificial intelligence.
