An increase in COVID-19 incidence was recorded in France just before the Paris Olympics, WHO representative Margaret Harris told a briefing in Geneva, Report informs via TASS.
“France has seen an increase in cases of COVID-19 in recent weeks, which may have a moderate impact on the healthcare system,” Harris said.
According to the WHO representative, the rate of "positive cases" when testing for the coronavirus in French primary healthcare centers reaches 25%, although the WHO considers the incidence rate to be basically less than 5%.
“So there is growth. However, there is no evidence that the health care system is under a serious pressure,” Harris said.
