Acting Director General appointed to IAEA

The IAEA Board of Governors appointed former Ambassador of Romania Cornel Feruta acting Director of the Agency, Russia's Permanent Representative to Int'l Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov old.
"The IAEA Board of Governors has appointed Cornel Feruta acting CEO. In the last six years, he worked as the closest assistant to Yukiya Amano, coordinated the work of the Agency in a number of areas," Ulyanov said.
Notably, Extraordinary session of the Board of Governors was held in connection with the death of the IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano, who headed the Agency since 2009.
