COP28 participants approve final document

Participants at the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) have approved the final document, according to Report’s correspondent from Dubai.

The parties approved the decision during the sixth plenary meeting.

The adopted document calls on countries to transition away from fossil fuels.

The 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) was held in the UAE from November 30 to December 12.

A delegation from Azerbaijan took part in the event.

On December 11, Azerbaijan was officially announced the host of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29.
