CIA: China poses biggest geopolitical challenge to US

Beijing will pose Washington’s biggest geopolitical challenge in decades to come, Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) William Burns said at an event at Georgetown University, Report informs.

China continues to be the biggest geopolitical challenge facing the US for decades to come and the biggest priority for the CIA, he said.

Burns called the field of new technologies ‘the main arena’ of rivalry between the US and China and ‘the main determinant of the future’ of the CIA.
