China keen to strengthen co-op with Arab countries

Beijing welcomes the strengthening of cooperation between Chinese and Arab financial institutions, Chinese President Xi Jinping said at the opening ceremony of the 10th ministerial meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum, Report informs.

The president noted that China intends to strengthen cooperation in key areas such as oil, gas, trade and infrastructure, as well as investments and artificial intelligence.

"China also supports the strengthening of cooperation between financial institutions and the joining of Arab banks to the Cross-Border Interbank Payment System. China is ready to strengthen digital currency exchange and strengthen cooperation between central banks," Jinping stressed.
