The Chinese government has allocated 100 million yuan (approximately $14 million at current exchange rates) from the central budget to assist the Tibet Autonomous Region affected by the earthquake, according to China's Ministry of Finance, Report informs via TASS.
It is specified that this measure was taken in accordance with the order of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
These funds will be used for emergency rescue operations, relocation of victims, and prevention of secondary risks. Additionally, damaged buildings that can be restored will be repaired.
However, the main focus, as noted, will be on searching for, rescuing, and evacuating people.
