Canada to give confiscated Russian aircraft to Ukraine

The Government of Canada will hand over to Ukraine the AN-124 transport aircraft confiscated from Russia. The transfer process has already begun, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Saturday after meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv, Report informs.
"Last spring, the Russian Antonov landed at Pearson Airport in Toronto. As soon as it landed, we immediately detained it," he said.
The Canadian prime minister said that Ottawa had confiscated the aircraft for transfer to Ukraine.
