Bus accident in El Salvador leaves at least 9 dead and 15 injured

At least nine people died and another 15 were injured after a bus accident that occurred on a highway near San Miguel, a city about 138 kilometers east of San Salvador, according to Salvadoran authorities this Tuesday, Report informs, citing foreign media sources.
Some of the injured were transferred to nearby hospitals, according to the Civil Protection of El Salvador on its official account on X, formerly Twitter, although until Tuesday night it had not specified the exact number of injured people receiving medical attention.
The first official versions indicate that the bus driver lost control and collided with a wall, which caused the vehicle to overturn, as detailed by the Salvadoran National Police on social networks.
