Bulgaria is not yet negotiating a new contract with Gazprom, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policies Hristo Alexiev said, Report informs.
According to Alexiev, official Sofia believes that the interim government should not take such a decision.
First, an international tender for the long-term supply of liquefied natural gas will be announced in Bulgaria. Then the decision to conclude the contract will be made by the new government.
In April, Sofia refused to switch to payments for Russian gas in rubles, and as a result, Gazprom stopped supplies to Bulgaria. After that, the country is striving to find alternative suppliers.
