British academic jailed for life in UAE released

Baku. 26 November. REPORT.AZ / British graduate student Matthew Hedges, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for espionage in the UAE last week, has been released, Report informs citing Sky News.

Hedges was pardoned by decree of UAE  president Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan in connection with the upcoming celebration of the national day of the UAE.
