Brazil lifts Maduro ban

Brazil's outgoing government has lifted a travel ban on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

Report informs via O Estado de S. Paulo that the Venezuela president will be able to take part in the inauguration of the elected President of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, scheduled for January 1. However, according to the publication, the organizers of the ceremony have yet to confirm Maduro's arrival.

When incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro, an ideological opponent of Maduro, came to power in Brazil, Brazil stopped contacts with official Caracas and its diplomatic representatives, depriving them of their respective status.
