Borrell urges Iran to use its influence to prevent further escalation in Gaza

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell has discussed the recent developments in Gaza with the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Report informs.

“Spoke to Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on the situation in Gaza and the West Bank. The solution can only be political, centered on two states. We must prevent any regional spillover. Urged Iran to use its influence and to actively work towards avoiding any further escalation in the region,” Borrell said in a post on X.
