Borrell: Ukraine cannot advance on front

Ukraine cannot advance on the front, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, said in an interview with Le Monde, Report informs.

He said that there is a deadlock on the front: “The battles are very fierce. But the breakthrough that Ukraine hoped for did not happen. And Russia is gaining the upper hand at the expense of great losses.”

Borrell stressed that the West must restore the balance of power: “Ukraine must win.”
