Boao Forum chief: Attention must be given to financing low-income countries

The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) must pay special attention to the issue of access to affordable financing for low-income countries, stated Zhang Jun, the Secretary General of the BFA.

"Many low-income countries still lack access to channels of long-term and inexpensive capital," he said. Zhang Jun emphasized that addressing this financial disparity is crucial for promoting inclusive global growth.

The BFA chief also pointed out the necessity of addressing youth issues, as the new generation represents the "hope of the future."

Zhang Jun noted that the process of sustainable development is uneven, with countries of the Global South "generally lagging behind."
