Some 74% of Germans expect economic recession and unemployment to increase in the country, according to a survey conducted by INSA.
Report informs, citing Bild, that almost three-quarters of Germans (74%) think that economic recession and unemployment will increase in the country in the near future. While 83% of respondents say prices will continue to rise, the same number expect gas restrictions for private households, with 63% saying companies will start cutting off gas.
Almost half of the respondents (47%) said that the sanctions hurt Germany more than Russia. Only 12% think that sanctions can cause great damage to Russia.
The publication noted that German politicians continue to take a tough stance on anti-Russian sanctions, although public opinion on the issue has changed significantly recently.
