Belarus recalls its ambassador to Armenia for consultations, the Spokesperson of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Belarus Anatoly Glaz told journalists, Report informs via BELTA.
Earlier, Armenia summoned its ambassador to Belarus back to Yerevan for consultations.
Afterward, a representative of the Armenian embassy was called to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry to clarify this issue.
"Taking into account the development of the situation, our ambassador in Yerevan will also come to Minsk in the near future," Glaz stated.
The spokesperson highlighted that if someone in Armenia decided to divert attention from internal problems by creating the image of a foreign enemy, this is not a far-sighted position.
