Baerbock: Akbari’s execution - inhumane act by Iranian regime

The execution of Alireza Akbari is yet another inhumane act by the Iranian regime, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock wrote on her Twitter page, Report informs.

“We support our British friends and will continue to closely coordinate our actions against the regime and our support for the people of Iran,” she said.

Iranian authorities accused Akbari of spying for MI6. He served as deputy minister in 2000-2008. He was arrested in 2019. He himself said that he was tortured for 10 months and forced on camera to confess to crimes that he didn’t commit.
