Attack on polling station during presidential elections in Guatemala

A polling station was attacked hours before the end of the presidential elections in the municipality of Misco in the center of Guatemala, Prensa libre newspaper said, Report informs.
Two people threw a Molotov cocktail at the polling station and the fire was extinguished quickly. Both attackers were arrested.
Bernardo Arevalo, from the progressive Movimiento Semilla party, won Guatemala’s presidential election on Sunday, beating former first lady Sandra Torres in a race marred by fears of democratic backsliding.
