Albanian PM: Erdogan makes special contribution to Türkiye’s development

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has praised the leadership qualities and political activities of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan while speaking at the Delphi Economic Forum in Greece, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.

Rama touched upon many regional issues, including the topic of relations with Türkiye, and stressed that President Erdogan makes a special contribution to the development of his country.

“Erdogan’s policy has greatly changed the image of Türkiye. Of course, opinions may differ, but I must say that the EU’s behavior towards Ankara is very controversial,” Rama said.

The head of the Albanian government reminded that the European Union promised Türkiye membership in the EU after a series of reforms, but in the end Ankara was “left at the door.” “At the same time, it is indisputable that Türkiye, whether it is led by Erdogan or not, is important from the point of view of European security. The European Union should take this factor seriously,” the politician stressed.
