Alain Berset: It is essential to establish lasting peace in Ukraine today

The main task today is to ensure the establishment of lasting peace in Ukraine, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset, told journalists in Albania before the European Political Community meeting, Report informs.

"Today we want only one thing - the establishment of lasting peace for Ukraine. We are doing everything possible to achieve this goal. Ukraine has long been a member of our organization, and we provide strong support to both the Ukrainian people and Ukraine's European aspirations," he emphasized.
