On that day, the current head of the General Assembly, Abdullah Shahid, will close the 76th session, and during the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, Hungarian diplomat Csaba Korosi elected in June this year, will chair.
The traditional high-level week - with the participation of state leaders - will begin on September 20. On September 21, a high-level meeting will be held as part of the annual celebration of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Declaration on Minority Rights.
According to the press service of the UN, on September 16-17, the Transforming Education Summit will take place, which the UN calls the main event of this month. The adoption of the Youth Declaration and the statement of the UN secretary-general on the prospects for reforms in education are expected.
