5.9 magnitude quake hits coast of Philippines

An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 has been recorded off the coast of the Philippines, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, Report informs referring to TASS.
The epicenter was located 63 km southeast of the city of Tacloban (Leyte Island), where 242,000 people live. The source lay at a depth of 94 km.
There were no reports of casualties or damage. No tsunami threat was declared.
