2 arrested in Milan on suspicion of terrorism

During the anti-terrorist operation in Milan, two people were arrested - an Egyptian and an Italian of Egyptian origin, Report informs referring to the ANSA agency.

They are accused of involvement in a terrorist organization and preparation of terrorist actions.

On the air of Radio-1, Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani said that the level of vigilance of law enforcement agencies has been increased, but there are no direct terrorist threats in the country. He noted that isolated episodes of terrorist actions by individuals cannot be ruled out.

It was also previously reported that the flows of migrants arriving not only by sea, but also along the Balkan route were taken under special control.
