18 security officials killed in Taliban attack in Afghanistan

At least 18 Afghan state security officials were killed last night in the Kunduz province in battles with the radical Taliban movement.
Report informs, referring to TASS news agency, that fifteen soldiers and three police officers were killed in Taliban attacks on the checkpoints in the province.
Ten soldiers were abducted on March 4 morning in the Imam Sahib district in the north of the province near the border with Tajikistan.
Earlier, a Taliban spokesperson announced the end of the “violence reduction” period and the resumption of hostilities against Afghan government forces.
