16 killed in road accident in northern India

At least 16 people died this morning in a traffic accident in the Kullu district in India's northern state of Himachal Pradesh, Report informs via TASS.

A passenger bus fell from a great height into a mountain gorge. According to preliminary data, the bus driver lost control on a difficult section of the mountain road.

According to NDTV, the bus was carrying at least 40 children to school. The rescue operation continues. The authorities do not exclude that the number of victims may increase.
