Reserve colonel: For the first time in several years, the enemy made an attempt to bring down the military aircraft of Azerbaijani Armed Forces

It is possible that the enemy will continue making such provocations," Reserve colonel of the Azerbaijani army Shair Ramaldanov told Report. According to him, taking advantage of the tension, Armenia is trying to influence the negotiations: "This indicates a rise in tension in Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenians did not hide that they would make such provocations. On the other hand, if we return to the history of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, we will see that in the event of an increase in internal tensions in Armenia or on the eve of negotiations, the enemy resorts to frequent provocations on the front lines and an intensive violation of the cease-fire.

"However, Armenians never opened fire on our pilots. For the first time in several years, the enemy resorted to the use of the air defense system and made an unsuccessful attempt by missiles to shoot down the aircraft of Azerbaijan. Due to the high professionalism, our military pilots managed to resolve the situation, and the enemy's attempt failed."

Ramaldanov added that Azerbaijan is in a state of war and such incidents are expected: "Our Armed Forces are in constant readiness to respond to any provocation of the enemy on the front line. The leadership of Armenia should learn a lesson from this. If the enemy does not become wiser, Azerbaijan must draw conclusions and liberate the occupied lands, restore the country's territorial integrity, demonstrating its power to the enemy."
