In the recent discussions in the UN Security Council on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, the Non-Aligned Movement and the current members of the Security Council - Indonesia, Tunisia, Nigeria, the Dominican Republic, Vietnam, South Africa, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines insisted on including a reference to Security Council Resolutions 822, 853, 874 and 884 of 1993 in the draft document. As a result, the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, permanent members of the Security Council, were forced to withdraw their draft statement.

According to Report, in this regard, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent letters to the heads of state and government of Indonesia, Tunisia, Nigeria, the Dominican Republic, Vietnam, South Africa, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The letters thanked the countries for their principled position during the discussions in the UN Security Council.

The letters further state that the continued support of these countries will contribute to the conflict's settlement based on known resolutions of international law and the Security Council.

In conclusion, it is expressed confidence in the successful development of our bilateral relations and our multilateral cooperation within the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement.
