Zahid Oruj: ‘Armenia is ready to recognize Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan’

Armenia is ready to recognize Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan, the chairman of Milli Majlis Committee for Human Rights Zahid Oruj said at the plenary session of the parliament on October 11.

According to him, for over a year, the French state has been trying to bring foreign military observers to the yet-to-be-defined border with Azerbaijan and is putting all kinds of pressure on Azerbaijan:

"At the last Prague meeting, the decision to send only a civilian mission to Armenia, and not to our territories, showed that President Ilham Aliyev resolutely protects our military victory in the trenches of international diplomacy.

"Why do European observers come to the region? Because the sudden start of the Patriotic War hit the economic and political influence of the West and especially France on the region for many years, and the forces that could not send an army to Karabakh on November 10 are now striving to be on the border under a different cover. Our state's rightful objection to the insidious plan is related to the danger of opening a second front against us, turning the border into a trench and a battlefield.

"Therefore, President Ilham Aliyev ruined the game played by Emmanuel Macron compared to the behavior of Charles Michel as a dignified and genuine European leader. The reason for the resolutions and decisions to be taken against Azerbaijan in the parliaments of France and other countries in the near future is related to our country's strong resistance to the arrival of the Western military contingent in the region."
