By the end of 2026, 140,000 Azerbaijani citizens are expected to resettle in the liberated territories, a member of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament) Vugar Bayramov stated at today's plenary session of the Parliament.
The MP highlighted that the complete destruction of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur during the occupation period resulted in billions of dollars in economic damage.
"Today, we are witnessing the restoration and reconstruction of these areas. Nearly 20,000 of our citizens have already moved to the liberated territories. By the end of 2026, 140,000 of our citizens will have resettled in these areas. This not only demonstrates Azerbaijan's economic strength but also establishes new challenges and priorities for our foreign policy," Bayramov stated.
