After the end of the Second Karabakh War, it's now time for the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (Parliament) Sahiba Gafarova said at the 54th plenary session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Samarkand.
According to Report, she noted that the mines planted by Armenia are still one of the biggest obstacles to the restoration work. According to her, in the post-war period, more than 260 Azerbaijani citizens died or were seriously injured as a result of mine explosions.
The speaker stressed that the mines were laid by Armenia both during the years of occupation and after the war.
