Prevention of workplace accidents discussed in Parliament of Azerbaijan

The main goals of the Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan) Committee on Labor and Social Policy include issues of labor relations and labor protection, which should be given serious attention, the committee Chairman Musa Guliyev said at today's meeting, Report informs.

“In order to develop entrepreneurship, inspections have been temporarily suspended by order of the President. However, we receive certain complaints and appeals in connection with violations of labor rights of employees, including labor protection and safety rules, which lead to injuries and deaths. To study this issue and, if necessary, amend the legislation, it would be advisable to hold hearings,” Musa Guliyev said.
