MP: Armenia spent $400M on planting mines in Azerbaijani territories during occupation

Armenia spent $400 million on purchasing and planting mines during the period when it occupied Azerbaijani territories, MP Aydin Mirzazada said at today's meeting of the Defense, Security and Anti-Corruption Committee of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, Report informs.
According to Mirzazada, the failure to clear mines makes it impossible to return to those areas: "It will take much more funds to clear the mines than Armenia spent on mining. We have disclosed the number of our citizens who have been victims of mines so far."
