Kyrgyzstan takes over TURKPA chairmanship from Kazakhstan

The meeting of the Council and 11th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TURKPA) started in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region Report informs, AKIpress.

Kyrgyzstan has taken over the TURKPA chairmanship from Kazakhstan.

The parliamentary delegations of Turkiye, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan are attending the meeting. Hungary has observer status in the Organization. Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are attending the event as guests of honour.

The delegations will discuss the deepening and expansion of parliamentary ties and the following issues:

- approval of TURKPA strategic roadmap for 2023-2028

- consideration of the draft model law aimed at support and development of social entrepreneurship

At the end of the meeting, a Cholpon-Ata declaration will be adopted.
