Citizens of foreign states involved in labor activity in the liberated Azerbaijani territories will be issued a permit for two years, Report informs.
The relevant amendment to the Migration Code has been submitted for discussion at today’s meeting of the Azerbaijani parliament.
According to the amendment, the period of validity of a work permit for foreigners and stateless persons involved in labor activities in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation can be extended each time by no more than two years.
According to the current legislation, a work permit on a general basis can be issued for a period of one year, its term can be extended each time for no more than a year.
If adopted, the amendment will be effective from January 1, 2023, to January 1, 2028.
After discussions, the MPs voted for the adoption of the draft amendments in the first reading.
