Bill on increasing minimum pension recommended for plenary session of parliament

The draft amendment to the Law on Labor Pensions over increasing the amount of the minimum labor pension in Azerbaijan was discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Committee for Labor and Social Policy and recommended for the plenary session, Report informs.

As noted, the minimum amount of labor pension will be increased by 40 manats ($23.5) from 240 manats ($141) to 280 manats ($164.6). If passed, the bill will enter into force on February 1, 2023. This increase will cover approximately 100,000 pensioners. The draft amendment was adopted and recommended for the plenary session.
