Azerbaijani speaker talks on issues discussed during her visit to Iran

“During my visit to Iran, I noted that Azerbaijan, having won the Patriotic War, restored its territorial integrity. Armenia in our occupied territories destroyed our mosques, cultural monuments, and all other buildings, razed the infrastructure to the ground. The enemy even desecrated our shrines and mosques,” Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova said at the plenary session of the parliament on September 30, Report informs.

She said that February 26, 2022, will mark the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.

“At the meetings, I emphasized that so far, many states and international organizations have recognized the Khojaly genocide. Taking this into account, I noted the importance of paying attention to this issue in the Iranian parliament,” the speaker noted.
