Azerbaijani parliament to discuss bill on execution of state budget next month 

"I still cannot say for sure that the Chamber of Accounts is completely independent. But there is transparency on certain issues," MP Vahid Ahmadov said during the discussion of the report on "Activity of the Chamber of Accounts in 2021" at the meeting of the parliamentary committee on Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship, Report informs.

He said that the Chamber of Accounts is an oversight body: "The Chamber conducted 44 audits. The Chamber of Accounts presents the same issues as a negative situation. Whether you say so or not, we see problems here. Violations continue today in a worse form. We will consider the implementation of the state budget in May.

"I think that the Chamber should consider issues related to the implementation of the state budget three or four times a year. In this regard, we can amend the law "On the Chamber of Accounts." During the discussion of the budget execution in May, the Chamber of Accounts will not be able to do anything about the violations. Because these funds have already been spent, "he added.
