Azerbaijani parliament speaker meets with Hulusi Akar

Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan) Sahiba Gafarova has met with a delegation led by Hulusi Akar, chairman of the Committee on National Defense of the Turkish Parliament.

Report informs, citing the press service of the Milli Majlis, that the meeting took place as part of the visit of the Turkish delegation to Azerbaijan.

Gafarova expressed confidence that former Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, as a member of the Turkish Parliament, will continue to promote the development of cooperation between the two countries.

Akar expressed gratitude for the reception and noted that Türkiye is proud of Azerbaijan's restoration of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
