Azerbaijani Parliament adopts new fees for issuing work permits to foreigners

The Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan has discussed the amendment to the law 'On State Fee' regarding the determination of new fees for issuing and extending work permits to foreigners involved in labor activities in Azerbaijan at today's plenary sitting, Report informs.

With the amendment, the following fees will be charged for issuing and extending work permits to foreigners and stateless persons to engage in remunerated labor activities in Azerbaijan.

1. if issued or extended within ten working days:

Up to 1 year to 6 months - a state fee of 1,600 manats ($940);

Up to 2 years - 1,800 manats ($1,060);

2. if given or extended within fifteen working days:

Up to 1 year to 6 months - 1,400 manats ($820);

Up to 2 years - 1,600 manats ($940);

3. if issued or extended within twenty working days:

Up to 1 year to 6 months - 1,200 manats ($710);

Up to 2 years - 1400 manats ($820).

After discussions, the amendment was put to the vote and adopted in the third reading.
