The Milli Majlis adopted in the third reading the bill "On the approval, entry into force and corresponding legal regulation of the Competition Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan," submitted for consideration to parliament in 2006.
Report informs that the project was presented by Tahir Mirkishili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.
The Code will serve to prevent the abuse of a dominant position and ensure the neutrality of competition, and will also create favorable conditions for stimulating the activities of business entities.
The Competition Code will come into force on July 1, 2024.
