Azerbaijan amending rules of termination of parental rights

Azerbaijan is making amendments to the article on the rules of deprivation of parental rights.

Report informs that a draft amendment to the Family Code was submitted for discussion in the third reading at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis.

Article 65.5 of the Family Code in the new edition reads: "After the entry into force of a court decision on termination of parental rights, an extract from this decision, certified by an enhanced electronic signature of the judge, is entered into the information system of the body determined by the relevant executive authority."

Under the valid article, "the court is obliged, within 3 (three) days from the date of entry into force of a decision on deprivation of parental rights, to send an extract from this decision to the relevant executive authority".

After discussion and submission to the vote, the deputies adopted the draft amendment in the third reading.
