Azerbaijan, Slovakia eliminating double taxation

Azerbaijan and Slovakia are eliminating double taxation, Report informs referring to the bill approving the “Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Slovak Republic on the elimination of double taxation in relation to income taxes and the prevention of tax evasion.”

The document notes that if a resident of Slovakia, in accordance with the provisions of this agreement, receives taxable income in Azerbaijan, Slovakia allows to deduct from the income of this resident an amount of tax equal to the income tax paid in Azerbaijan.
