Azerbaijan bans singing national anthem in another language

Baku. 18 February. REPORT.AZ/ A new bill 'On the rules of the use of the State Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan (third reading)'  bans the singing of the Azerbaijani state anthem in a language other than Azerbaijani, Report informs.

According to Article 8 of the Bill (Restrictions on the Use of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan), the anthem cannot be sung in another language.

The bill will be discussed at the plenary session of the Milli Majlis to be held on February 19.
