MoD: Armenia aggravating situation in region

Starting from the morning of September 1, Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the direction of Zod of the Basarkechar district are aggravating the situation in the region by firing at the Azerbaijan Army positions in the direction of Kalbajar using different calibers of small arms, mortars, artillery devices and UAVs, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Defense.

In addition, the Armenian side is concentrating additional combat equipment and manpower at its positions in the direction of the Zod settlement of Basarkecher district.

The Armenian side is spreading misinformation and trying to create a wrong opinion in the international community in order to create a foundation for further provocations.

"We inform you that all responsibility for the tension and its consequences rests with the military and political leadership of Armenia," MoD said.
