Journalists arrive in Kalbajar - UPDATED

A group of journalists has arrived in Kalbajar - the area where mine explosions took place on December 14.

Report’s correspondent informs that under the observation of journalists, mines and unexploded ordnance were cleared by the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) in the area.

The Ministry of Defense organized a visit of journalists to Kalbajar - the area where mine explosions took place on December 14, Report informs.

The goal of the visit is to familiarize them with the mined areas and convey the terrorist actions of the Armenians to the world community.

Eight people, including four soldiers, were hit by landmines in the Kalbajar district at about 6:00 pm on October 14, Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministries of Defense and Internal Affairs said in a statement.

One of them was martyred.

According to the preliminary investigations, four employees of a construction company were hit by an anti-personnel mine in the Chirag village of the Kalbajar district.

At the same time, the investigation revealed that four soldiers who went to the scene for the evacuation were hit by a mine, 3 of them received various degrees of injuries, and one was killed.
