"In the last 3-4 days, the enemy lost two units in the same place. They are currently evacuating the wounded," the head of the Mykolayiv Regional Military Administration of Ukraine, Vitaliy Kim, told Report.
"On the other hand, we are buying military ammunition to continue our success and gathering strength among our Armed Forces to reduce losses. We are currently concentrating on our strengths to move forward and succeed," he said.
Kim stressed that there is some progress in the fighting: "Progress in the direction of the Mykolaiv region is determined not by kilometers but by the positions of our Armed Forces. At the moment, we have an advantage in terms of hitting targets. The tactical advantage is also on our side. The enemy is facing heavy losses."
According to him, the situation sometimes changes several times a day: "Specifically, the events in our direction - in the southern direction - are in favor of Ukraine. In short, we have succeeded and are trying to develop it."
He stressed that the Russian occupiers have deliberately cut off the water supply to the city of Mykolaiv by blowing it up: "A person needs about 3-5 liters of potable water and 30-50 liters of technical water a day. Before there was no water at all, now we have water in the line and provide about 90% of household needs. This water has passed all the stages of purification and is unsuitable only for drinking and cooking. In Europe, technical water is used for household purposes, but we are accustomed to drinking water from the tap. Drinking water for people is brought by trucks. There are two ways to solve this problem - either to use the experience of countries such as the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, to purify river water, to drill artesian wells, or to liberate the occupied territories and provide control over the water source. We are working in all three directions. Wells are already being drilled, and we are negotiating with foreign countries to purchase technology. Currently, 20-30% of the water supply has been resolved. In my opinion, it is better to provide regular technical water permanently instead of drinking water at different times. We are working in this direction. This issue should be resolved in the next few months."
The head of the military administration of Mykolaiv noted that the people living here are like everyone else, and no one wants a war: "But we do not give what we have to anyone. What is said on Russian TV channels is just propaganda. 90-100% of those who come here from Russia, including the military, witness the opposite. There are cases that mothers do not trust their sons here. Because what is shown on TV channels has washed their brains. An "eternal torch" is lit here to commemorate the victims of World War II. There are neither nationalists not bandits here. All this is nothing but a lie. We have lived here, and we will not compromise what belongs to us."
